Darlington Wildlife Explorers

Just a reminder for our first event launch of the Darlington Wildlife Explorers in the Education Centre (Glass Room next to the cafe) at the South Park at 9.30am on Sunday 15 April. ‘Natures Calendar’ the event runs until 12.30 and we will be exploring the park, looking for flowers, birds, bugs etc. Looking at lifecycles and nests and there will be both indoor & outdoor activities for all the family.

This is the first event that we are running jointly with Wild Green Places Project from Tees Valley Wildlife Trust as part of the 2018 Family Wildlife Challenge. The challenge runs all year with activities for families to undertake on their own and three events planned in April, August & October. This has been an initiative of the Field Club and it would be wonderful if as a member you could come along to see what’s going on or recommend it to family and friends.

Thanks to Sue Weston and Martin Chisholm for leading the administration and arrangements for this event and for members who have volunteered to assist on Sunday. Lets hope the weather really improves. I note there will be a “nature table” so if you can bring along any interesting items that would be most welcome. Hope to see you Sunday
